OMG choir's SYF was on thurs!!! I managed to get excuse letter from mr tan to go and support them along with denise and dwayne :D YAY!!! Dr boon talked to us and took pictures LOL. Well, so on we went to vch. Mann i LOVE that place, it feels nice... XD Ok, so we were the first choir of the afternoon session, and I really thought that we won't make it... (Hmmmm. Sorry for the use of 'we' but i really feel like a part of them, even though i wasn't singing). It wasn't the best that we could do, definitely, and there's room for improvement! I could feel the musicality, but no goosebumps for Ave Maria... Sec 2s!!! We must DEFINITELY get a GwH two years down and remember not to get complacent!!
Well i guess from the above paragraph^^ You can guess what award we got...GwH!!!!! Of course the award isn't everything, in fact, its not anything. To me, it's just a form of recognition for our musicality. Sometimes, actual music cannot be defined by awards. And I really thought we'll get a gold or silver even. Our music was not there yet. Or maybe its just that our standard is higher... Either way, we were REALLY surprised and happy that we got GwH!!! It was somehow unexpected, yet when I thought the mc said gold, I was really dissapointed. OH speaking of the mc, you know what she did??? She said : "Choir number 25. Anglican High School. GOLD!" *slightly puts down mike, then raises it again* "WITH HONOURS!!" OMG when we heard that some of us cried. Literally. It was totally silent when she said gold. no body cheered, nobody cried, nobody did anything. Nobody even clapped. Its like it was just numbness... Or was that just me? Anyways it was really a bad scare. We all thought when she raised her mike again it was to say "choir number 26" Or sth like that because we didn't cheer, or clap. OMG

Well, my results this year are really dropping. they're slipping from me... My mum say's its coz im distracted... Which may be what's going on... I really don't feel like studying, even though I know that's what I'm supposed to do. I'm not doing it. *sigh* Can somebody help me??
My emotions are in a mess now. I dunno, i just don't feel like liking anybody. Its not worth the pain.Oh well, Denise had a fever just now, and we had to send her home in the middle of the debrief. Oh MY TIAN Mr Tan was friggin funny. He showed us alot of spastic pictures :D People were doing spastic/gay/retarded stuff. It was really funny. A very full sound from a HUGE choir, I like the tone much better, it's a little light though. Pitching wise quite accurate, but they were not quite together in term of rhythm. The next piece is ave maria, which is beautifully phrased and delicate when needed. It's leaving me enthranced, the balance is good and the range of dynamic extraordinary.. Wonderful! The next piece is Chinese, probably by Chen Yi. They're using chopsticks! The humming section wasn't quite good, but everything else was good! I wouldn't mind paying to watch them! They've got good voices in there and it really helps in the tone. It got a little draggy, but clearly GwH!! What a way to start this session.
Haha it was really funny. After the results, the guys threw zheng sheng into the water in front of sir stamford raffles. More guys taupok-ed Corney and mr toh! Hahas the funniest part was when gemonn kissed terence! (yea that sec 2.) OMG! It was friggin funny! We also formed a circle around mr toh and sang ubi caritas! :D Jesse began his 'stylo conducting' and a sparrow landed in the middle of the circle, hopped a bit, and flew off. Was that a coincidence?
Well i think i posted one huge chunk abt choir... Oh well, I LOVE AH CHOIR! I was doodling AH CHOIR all over my handbook during science 2dae... Hahax!
Ok last paragraph. I promise. I think I'm falling sick! I'm like, sleeping and sleeping, more and more everyday. Oh no, don't tell me poh yi 'passed' her fever to denise who is gonna 'pass' it to me... *groan* I hope not. Let's see how lucky I am!

*post ending. To the other P.A. groups: Jia yous for those who hasn't gone for their SYF!! Those who went and din get a good score, remember this. The score isn't everything. It should mean NOTHING at all. What matters is the music you make, and enjoying yourselves! ANDANDAND those who's SYF did well, CONGRATS! Continue to work hard and together, we shall show dr boon that P.A. are NOT inferior to sports! We can do just as well, if not better than them yeahh??*
